The Water Centre hosted scientists from Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies on 30th November – 01th December 2022. The Latvian delegation was headed by dr. sc. ing. Armands Celms, the Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Civil Engineering. The Dean was accompanied by the employees of Department of Land and Geodesy, mg. sc. ing Maris Virkavs and mg. sc. ing. Toms Lidumniesks. During the meeting, the Director of the Water Centre of the WULS, dr hab. Wojciech Sas, prof. SGGW presented the subject of scientific research carried out in the laboratories of the Water Centre. Dr hab. inż. Jarosław Chormański, prof. SGGW, mgr inż. Justyna Dzięcioł oraz mgr inż. Luiza Rzepczyńska, also attended the meeting. The talks also concerned the extension of the current scientific cooperation, subsequent publications and the possibility of preparing joint grant applications. The organization of the next edition of student exchange under the Erasmus+ program and a course being part of the Blended Intensive Program action, were also discussed. In this year’s May edition, the Blended Intensive Program action was organized by the University of Jelgava. The Warsaw University of Life Sciences and Kaunas Forestry and Environmental Engineering University of Applied Sciences from Lithuania were foreign partners of this program. Dr hab. inż. Wojciech Sas, prof. SGGW oraz mgr inż. Justyna Dzięcioł from the Institute of Civil Engineering took part in the organisation of this project. Mgr inż. Luiza Rzepczyńska, a PhD student, was participant of the course. The next course will be organised with partners from Lithuania and Latvia in cooperation with the International Relations Office and will be held next year at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
