The choice of the place of this general meeting was not accidental. The Warsaw University of Life Science hosts the board of the Polish Committee on Geotechnics. In addition, dr hab. inż. Wojciech Sas, prof. SGGW and the Director of the Water Centre acts as the chairman of the capital branch of the Polish Committee on Geotechnics. The strong relationship between the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the Polish Committee of Geotechnics is also due to the fact that fifteen employees of the Department of Geotechnics and the Water Centre are members of this organisation. We wish the newly elected authorities of the Polish Committee on Geotechnics to implement all the goals set for them.
