Students from the 1st and 3rd years of Environmental Protection, as well as members of the Interfaculty Scientific Circle of Eco-Engineering, took part in the inventory of plant species in the Water Park of the Water Centre as part of the ICA Biodiversity Challenge 2023 event on 26th May 2023. Students’ field activities were entitled Hazards of Civilization and Sustainable Development. Participants, with the support of team specialists: dr hab. inż. Bogumiła Pawluskiewicz, prof. SGGW (Department of Environmental Improvement), dr inż. Ilona Małuszyńska (the Water Centre), and dr inż. Marcin Małuszyński (Department of Environmental Improvement), got acquainted with plant species growing in the Water Park and had the possibility to use the application (https://observation.org/pages/getting-started/) – a teaching tool used, among others, on university grounds and campuses to assess biodiversity.
