Open Day of the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Engineering at the Water Centre
On 4th March 2023, the Open Day of the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Engineering was held at the Water Centre. Candidates could familiarise themselves with the following courses offered by the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Engineering:
+ Landscape Architecture,
+ Construction,
+ Water Engineering and Management,
+ Environmental Engineering,
+ Environmental Protection.
There was a presentation on the above-mentioned courses in Exhibition Hall. The presentation was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Engineering, dr hab. inż. Grzegorz Majewski, prof. SGGW, the Director of the Institute of Civil Engineering, prof. dr hab. inż. Eugeniusz Koda and the Water Centre’s employee, dr inż. Andrzej Głuchowski. Candidates could learn about admission rules, threshold points, available fields of study, learning conditions, career possibilities after graduation.
At the stands located around the fountain, students of the Faculty and employees of the Institute of Civil Engineering, the Institute of Environmental Engineering and the Water Centre provided information to candidates about scientific circles available at the Faculty. Information on various cyclic events (the Builder’s Day, the Ecological Engineer’s Day, the Ursynalia Warsaw Student Festival, Days of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences) and organisations available at the whole university (student and sports clubs, various music bands) was also provided. The Director of the Water Centre, dr hab. inż. Wojciech Sas, prof. SGGW assisted in the organisation of the event.
The candidates visited the Strength of Materials and Building Constructions Laboratory, the Water Chemistry and Sewage Sediments Laboratory and the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory.
